Introduction
by Tony Spaniel

You're probably wondering why I've asked you all here. As someone who has dedicated my life to the pursuit of truth on stage and screen, and in my position as patron of the charity A Creative Crisis, I am all too aware of the problems that creative people suffer. Clearly, having achieved a position of power and importance within the entertainment industry, I personally do not have to face the day-in, day-out suffering and humiliation that many in the arts are forced to endure. But I'm sure that you, like me, have been truly moved to encounter such sad individuals: they might have desperately passed you a script as you dined at the Ivy, or grabbed at your sleeve as you alighted in Soho Square. We owe these struggling artistes a proper hearing, and this website attepts to do just that: offering a therapeutic platform for those who, through no fault of their own, have been disadvantaged by the crack-addled octopus that we call 'The Media'. This is their outlet, and surely it would be churlish for those of us who have been blessed with greater career opportunities to begrudge them whatever crumbs of comfort they derive from these modest offerings. I certainly don't. So I would like to ask you to have a good look around this site and suffer with them. I hope that you will find it in your heart to give them a hearing and possibly send them a message of support. And at the end of the day, please send whatever you can to me: Tony Spaniel. And thanks.
